• October 2009 - Don Straus presents at IN3 Medical Device Summit (San Francisco).
• September 2009 - Filed three patent applications for consumables, methods, and instrumentation.
• March 2009 – First Light was awarded a $3.0 M NIH SBIR grant to commercialize our instrument and assay technology for a large scale Bio-defense application.
• September 2008 – First Light was awarded a $600 K NIH SBIR grant to develop a super sensitive, and low cost MRSA diagnostic test.
• August 2008 – First Light received a $300 K NIH SBIR grant for highly sensitive detection of respiratory viruses and to develop a very easy to use instrument model.
